A negative balance occurs when more money has been charged than was available in your account. While your payzy account is a debit and not credit account, this can happen for the following reasons:
• Pending transactions
Some transactions are completed with a delay (e.g., gas stations or hotels), resulting in a temporarily displayed available balance that does not actually exist.
• Purchases without sufficient balance
In some cases, a transaction may be charged by the merchant and lead to a negative balance, without a prior authorization of the amount. For example, if a merchant's terminal loses its internet connection, the transaction charge will be made directly upon its settlement 2-3 business days later. Because the settlement is applied to your account regardless of balance, your balance may turn negative.
• Transaction corrections
Reversals or corrections from the merchant's bank may affect the balance.
