Bring Friends – World Cup Bonus
The company under the name ‘COSMOTE PAYMENTS – ELECTRONIC MONEY SERVICES SINGLE MEMBER S.A.’ (hereinafter “COSMOTE Payments” or the “Organiser”), having its headquarters in 151 24 Marousi, Attica (99 Kifissias Avenue), is organising a promotional activity via the “payzy” application (hereinafter the “Application” or “App”) titled ‘Bring Friends – World Cup Bonus’ (hereinafter the “Promo”), which rewards the Authenticated Users (hereinafter the “Participant(s)”) who recommend the App to their friends/relatives/acquaintances (hereinafter “Invitee(s)”), as long as the latter, exclusively by using the link they receive from the Participants (hereinafter the “Recommendation Link” or the “Invitation”), register for the first time within the App and complete their registration process successfully.
The purpose of these terms (hereinafter “Terms”) is to define the terms of participation in the Promo.
1. Eligible to participate as Participants or Invitees in the Promo are all permanent residents of Germany, qualified for legal acts, who are at least 18 years old and have a payment account under their name with COSMOTE Payments.
2. Each Participant declares that they personally know and maintain a substantial (friendly, familial, or other) relationship with the individuals they are recommending, who have not yet registered to the App. Furthermore, Participants by sending the Invitation declare that they have informed the Invitees about their intention to share their data with COSMOTE Payments for the purposes of the Promo, they have referred them to these Terms and that they have lawfully obtained and are using their personal data upon their consent. In the event of any objection from the Invitees, the Participant must refrain from sharing their data with COSMOTE Payments. The Participant shall be fully liable to COSMOTE Payments for any damage – direct or indirect – that may result from the use of the Invitees’ data, should such data have been submitted to COSMOTE Payments in violation of these Terms. Acts involving the use of contact details of random individuals or the recommendation of individuals unknown to the Participants or individuals who have not been informed about the disclosure and use of their data by COSMOTE Payments are expressly excluded from the Promo.
3. The duration of the Promo (hereinafter the “Duration”) is from 11/06/2026, 00:00:01 (CEST), until 19/07/2026, at 23:59:59 (CEST). The Promo is time-limited and may also be subject to a maximum total reward allocation and/or participation threshold determined by the Organiser. Therefore, the Organiser reserves the right to end the Promo earlier than the above-mentioned date in accordance with paragraph 8 below. Within the Duration, Invitees have to proceed, following exclusively the Recommendation Link sent by the Participant, to registration and creation of an electronic money account with COSMOTE Payments. If either the invitation is sent or the registration is completed outside the aforementioned Duration, neither the Participant nor the Invitee shall be entitled to receive the Reward irrespective of whether the other action was completed within the Duration.
4. In order to receive (both the Participant and the Invitee) the respective reward (hereinafter the “Reward”), the Participant has to send an Invitation within the Duration and the Invitee should meet the requirements to become for the first time customer of COSMOTE Payments, as outlined in the “Terms and Conditions of Use of Payzy Application”, accept these terms (see terms here) and complete the registration and authentication process through the App.
For the avoidance of doubt, Invitations sent before or after the Duration, as well as registrations completed after the Duration or after an earlier termination of the Promo in accordance with paragraph 8 below, shall not qualify for the Reward.
5. The Participant who will send Invitations to Invitees within the Duration, via the “Bring Friends” section, shall be rewarded with eleven (€11) Euros for each Invitee who for the first time proceeds, following exclusively the Recommendation Link, to the creation of an electronic money account with COSMOTE Payments, in accordance with the COSMOTE Payments E-Wallet Terms of Use (see terms here). Accordingly, the Invitee shall be rewarded with one thousand one hundred (1,100) Coins, which correspond to the sum of eleven (€11) Euros as a welcome Reward.
6. The Participant and the Invitee shall be awarded the respective Euro amount or Coins immediately after the Invitee successfully completes their registration (including the remote electronic identification procedure), in accordance with the “Terms and Conditions of Use of the Payzy Application” (see the terms here, paragraphs 3 and 5.I).
7. Under no circumstances and for no reason shall COSMOTE Payments be held liable for the authentication process of the Invitees and/or its outcome, even if this results in the Invitee not being authenticated and, consequently, the Participant not receiving the Reward. COSMOTE Payments acts at its sole discretion and judgement, as well as in accordance with its policies and applicable legislation, when registering a new user to the App.
8. The Organiser reserves the right to amend and/or revoke the “Bring Friends – World Cup Bonus” Promo, change the dates on which it will be held or the amount of Euros or Coins rewarded or any other of its terms, informing Participants and Invitees by any appropriate means (e.g. by e-mail or push notification or text message or via the website).
9. The Organiser shall bear no liability towards the Participants and/or Invitees and/or any third party for any direct or indirect damages, costs and expenses that may arise from any interruption, malfunction, delay, or any other cause related to the implementation of the Promo. Furthermore, COSMOTE Payments shall not be liable for any malfunction that may result in the temporary or permanent cessation of the Promo.
10. The data controller is the Organiser, namely the company under the name ‘COSMOTE PAYMENTS – ELECTRONIC MONEY SERVICES SINGLE MEMBER S.A.’, with its headquarters in 151 24 Marousi, Attica, (99, Kifissias Avenue).
The following personal data of the Participants shall be collected and processed in order to participate in the Promo:
- App ID
- Contact details
- Account details for Reward’s credit
- Number and details of Invitees
- Date and time of recommendation
The following personal data of the Invitees shall be collected and processed in order to participate in the Promo:
- The Invitee registration date and time
- The mobile telephone number declared upon registration
- The registration e-mail
- The Invitee’s App ID
Additional personal data will be processed for the purposes of the Invitees’ registration to the App, authentication and execution of transactions, in accordance with the terms of the General Information regarding Personal Data Protection (see below).
11. The data is collected for the purpose of carrying out the Promo in accordance with these Terms and to serve the contract concluded between the Participants and Invitees and COSMOTE Payments, based on which the Participants and Invitees maintain a payment account with COSMOTE Payments, in accordance with the terms of the General Information regarding Personal Data Protection, which you can find here. Under these terms, the personal data collected are retained for a period of five (5) years from the date of expiry of the business relationship and the submission of the relevant identification application. Upon expiry of this deadline, the data shall be deleted, unless another provision of law or regulatory act requires them to be stored for a longer period, which cannot exceed ten (10) years (e.g. for tax purposes).
12. Participants and Invitees have the following rights regarding the processing of their personal data:
• Right of access: the right to receive information about the personal data subject to processing (e.g. the purposes of processing, the types of data, the recipients to whom they are communicated, the period for which they are retained) and to be provided copies thereof.
• Right to rectification: the right to request the correction of their data (e.g. correction of contact details).
• Right to erasure: the right to request the deletion of their personal data if they are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were processed or if they withdraw their consent.
• Right to restriction of processing: the right to request the restriction of processing for a specific purpose.
• Right to object: the right to object, in cases in which they do not want their personal data to be processed.
∙ Right to portability: the right to transmit data to another controller without hindrance from the controller to which the personal data have been provided.
∙ Right to withdraw their consent: The right to withdraw consent with respect to any subsequent processing of personal data following its provision, insofar as such consent constitutes the lawful basis for the processing. In the event that a Participant/ Invitee wishes to withdraw their consent to participate in the Promo, they may submit a relevant request by sending an e-mail to customerprivacy@cosmotepayments.gr or by using the contact methods described in paragraph 13 below.
13. The Organiser has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) based on the provisions of the applicable legislation. To contact the Data Privacy Officer, Participants or Invitees may send an e-mail to customerprivacy@cosmotepayments.gr.
In order to exercise their rights, Participants or Invitees may send:
a. an e-mail to customerprivacy@cosmotepayments.gr or
b. a fax to +30 2102511888 or
c. a letter to COSMOTE Payments Customer Service, 99, Kifissias Ave., GR-151 24, Marousi, regarding ‘Exercising of Personal Data Rights’, stating their full name and their mobile telephone or landline connection number.
14. Participants or Invitees reserve the right to lodge a complaint, via a special web portal, with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (Nos 1-3 Kifissias Avenue, P.O. box 115 23, Athens | tel. No +30 210 6475600). Detailed instructions for submitting a complaint are provided on the Authority’s website: Complaint to the Hellenic DPA | Hellenic Data Protection Authority.
The Organiser shall respond to the requests free of charge without delay, within one (1) month from the receipt of the request. In exceptional cases, this deadline may be extended by two (2) months, if the complexity of the request so requires. In any case, the Organiser shall make notification regarding this extension and the reason for the delay. If it is found that the request is clearly unfounded or excessive, the Organiser reserves the right to request payment of a reasonable fee to its satisfaction, taking into account the administrative costs for its execution or even to refuse to follow up the request.
15. The Organiser shall take appropriate organisational and technical measures to secure the data and protect them from accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, alteration, prohibited dissemination or access, and any other form of unlawful processing.
16. To the extent permitted by law, the Organiser shall not be liable for leaks of the Participants’ or Invitees’ personal data due to their disclosure of any of their data via third-party or other internet sites.
17. The terms 10-17 concern the processing of personal data within the context of the Promo. In all other aspects, COSMOTE Payments processes personal data in accordance with its Personal Data Privacy Policy you can find here.
18. Participation in the Promo requires and implies the explicit and unreserved acceptance of all these Terms.
19. The Organiser reserves the right to exclude from the Promo any individual (whether Participant or Invitee) who, in COSMOTE Payments’ sole discretion and judgement, violates these Terms or the applicable legislation.
20. These Terms are governed by Greek law without prejudice to mandatory legal provisions of the German consumer legislation. Any dispute as to their interpretation and/or application shall be resolved by the courts of the place where the Participant or Invitee is domiciled.
